Guy McLendon offers a wide range of business and industrial experience. A licensed engineer specializing in industrial control systems, Guy has rational, problem solving abilities that allow him to develop real solutions to the challenges that face our nation.

In his political life, McLendon currently serves as Chairman of the Libertarian Party of Calcasieu Parish. He previously served as the Texarkana Regional Director of the Gary Johnson 2016 campaign for President, as an At-Large member on the Libertarian Party National Committee, Texas Vice-Chair, Chair of Harris County, Texas, Louisiana Vice-Chair, and four terms on the LP National Platform Committees – 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2014. Guy first became active in politics as a student activist for the 1980 Ed Clark campaign for President. Guy’s political goal is to help the LP evolve into a credible force, and to improve the party’s national brand to capture the public’s trust.

In his professional work as an engineer in the United States 5th largest refinery, located in southwest Louisiana, Guy has multi-million dollar project responsibility, and serves as Automation discipline lead for multiple major construction projects. In his career, he's supported capital projects having a total installed cost of about $700 million.

Outside his corporate and political responsibilities, Guy is a stock picking investor, and co-founded the Alief Investment Club partnership that existed as a tax entity from 1994 to 2007. McLendon co-founded the small web hosting company CyberSquad, located online at, and serves there as General Manager of Operations.

McLendon received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Mississippi State University in 1985. My "back to basics" political philosophy will help the American people build a stronger economy ... an economy that will continue to lead the world in technological innovation.
