The first Sunday of December each year is Capitalism Day. On this day,
around the world, we thank the Producers and Creators-mankind's highest
benefactors. We extend a hand of friendship and support and praise their
achievements.
Capitalism is not primarily about money, it is about freedom. Join us as
we celebrate:
Free trade
Freedom of Choice
Liberty
Profit
Free speech
Technology
Prosperity
Innovation
Creativity
The pursuit of happiness
On Sunday, December 1, at 11:30 a.m. we will meet at the corner of Westheimer
and Post Oak Blvd. (across from the Galleria) in the parking lot next to
Starbucks, the Container Store, and Jamba juice. Look for the Walk for
Capitalism sign. I expect to be sitting outside Starbucks with the sign on
a chair. We will walk north, crossing San Felipe, to McDonald's, returning
south to our point of origin.
The event is free and open to all with a sincere interest. One cute idea
that has attracted attention in other cities is for someone in Santa costume or
Santa's elf costume to participate with a sign "More toys, less
taxes", or something to that effect.
