Guy McLendon offers a wide range of business and industrial experience.  A licensed engineer specializing in industrial control systems, Guy has rational, problem solving abilities that allow him to develop real solutions to the challenges that face our nation.

In his political life, McLendon has served on the Libertarian Party National Committee, the Louisiana LP State Central Committee, three terms as the Chair of the Harris County Libertarian Party (Houston), the Texas LP Vice-Chair, and as four terms on the LP National Platform Committees - 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2016.  In 2011, Guy formed the Committee to Recruit Gary Johnson, and currently serves as Gov. Johnson's 2016 presidential campaign director in the Texarkana Region. Guy is responsible for Gary Johnson's ground campagn in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas and Mississippi. Guy's political goal is to help the LP evolve into a credible force, and to improve the party's national brand to capture the public's trust. 

In his professional work at the United States 5th largest refinery located in southwest Louisiana, Mr. McLendon has served as the Automation Department discipline lead supporting design and construction of industrial projects. In his engineering career, McLendon has supported about $700 million dollars in TIC capital constructon project scope. Guy serves on Gary Johnson's Advisory Council on Energy and the Enviornment.

Outside his corporate responsibilities, Guy is a stock picking investor, and co-founded the Alief Investment Club partnership that existed as a tax entity from 1994 to 2007.  McLendon co-founded the small web hosting company CyberSquad, located online at www.cybersquad.com, and serves there as General Manager of Operations.

McLendon received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Mississippi State University in 1985.
