Guy
McLendon offers a wide range of business and
industrial experience. A licensed engineer specializing in
industrial control systems, Guy has rational, problem solving
abilities that allow him to develop real solutions to the challenges
that face our nation.
In his political life, McLendon serves as the Chair of the Harris County
Libertarian Party, the Texas LP Vice-Chair, and as the Texas
representative to the LP National Platform Committees - 2006, 2008 & 2010. His political
goal is to help the LP evolve into a locally credible force in the Houston
area, and to improve the party's national brand to capture the public's
trust.
In his professional work in the United States 4th
largest refinery, the CITGO refinery located in southwest Louisiana, Mr. McLendon has multi-million dollar project
responsibility, and serves as Automation discipline lead for multiple
major construction projects.
McLendon is a Senior Member of ISA, that is the
Instrument, Systems and Automation Society, and has been a member since
1990.
Outside his corporate responsibilities, Guy is a stock picking
investor, and co-founded the Alief
Investment Club partnership that existed as a tax entity from 1994 to 2007. McLendon co-founded the
small web hosting
company CyberSquad, located online at www.cybersquad.com,
and serves there as General Manager of Operations.
McLendon received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical
Engineering from Mississippi State University in 1985.
