Biography

Guy McLendon offers a wide range of business and industrial experience.  A licensed engineer specializing in industrial control systems, Guy has rational, problem solving abilities that allow him to develop real solutions to the challenges that face our nation.

In his political life, McLendon serves as the Chair of the Harris County Libertarian Party, the Texas LP Executive Committee, and as the Texas representative to the LP National Platform Committee.  His political goal is to help the LP evolve into a locally credible force in the Houston area, and to improve the party's national brand to capture the public's trust.

In his professional work in the United States 4th largest refinery, the CITGO refinery located in southwest Louisiana, Mr. McLendon has multi-million dollar project responsibility, and serves as Automation discipline lead for Major Project E&C Group.

McLendon is a Senior Member of ISA, that is the Instrument, Systems and Automation Society, and has been a member since 1990.  In the year 2000, his biography was listed in the International Who's Who of Professionals, a publication that's compiled by the Who's Who Historical Society and published by Gibralter Publishing, Inc.

Outside his corporate responsibilities, Guy is a stock picking investor, and co-founded the Alief Investment Club partnership that existed as a tax entity from 1994 to 2007.  McLendon co-founded the small [but, growing!] web hosting company CyberSquad, located online at www.cybersquad.com, and serves there as General Manager of Operations.

McLendon received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Mississippi State University in 1985.
